Female Student Ministry Resident

The purposes of the residency positions at Two Rivers Church are: 1. Train and equip those considering full-time vocational ministry for current and future Kingdom service. 2. To give those considering full-time vocational ministry a structured opportunity to experience student ministry first-hand and discern their calling and giftedness. 3. To equip residents in additional areas of ministry within the church.

Accountability/Supervision: The Resident will be ultimately accountable to and under the supervision of the Student Ministry Pastors.

Specific Responsibilities: • To have contact with students every week in both middle and high school. • To have contact with leaders every month via phone/in person. • To actively plan and lead camps, retreats, activities, and weekly programs. This may include making reservations, shopping, setting up, promoting, etc. • Help with room set-up in both middle and high school ministry environments • To be involved in planning and running summer mission trips and conferences. • To be involved in staff meetings and resident training sessions. • Study, read, prepare for events, and train students. • To assist in the recruitment, training, and nurturing of volunteers. • To manage and create social media content for both middle and high school. • To be actively involved in leading and equipping small groups & leaders. • To help with ongoing administrative tasks with student ministry administration. • To have set office time each week and to be available to assist student ministry staff. • To help give lessons and teach on Wednesday nights in student ministry. • To be on campus at local schools every month during the school year. • Plan and develop student leaders and teams regularly.

Weekly Involvement in: • Personal spiritual disciplines • Set office time • Personal and staff reading/discussion • Serving at Weekend Worship service at 2RC • Wednesdays 6 pm – 9:30 pm • Planned activities during the week • Relational ministry to students • Assisting in equipping adult volunteers • Resident development process • Bonus (not required) ability to lead worship.

Hours: 40 hours a week. Commitment: One-year commitment with an option for a second.

Compensation: • Annual salary and housing • Additional monthly stipend for health insurance • Six Counseling Sessions.

Start Date: Summer 2025.

Time off: Two weeks of paid vacation, five personal and five sick days annually.

Sundays: Part of life in church ministry is working on Sundays!

Job Interviews: The nature of this residency is to train and send. Therefore, we give you time off for your job/seminary interviews that may come about during the second half of the second residency year.

Expenses: You will receive a monthly stipend for ministry-related expenses (meals with students, games, recreation, etc.).

Qualifications: • An active growing relationship with Jesus Christ • 4-year bachelor’s degree (preferred) • 1-2 years of volunteer experience at a church, camp or other parachurch ministry focused on students • Must be regularly attending and serving at a church • Must be faithfully showing leadership qualities as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 To Apply: • Send a cover letter and resume to [email protected] • OR apply on our posting on ChurchStaffing.com
