Non-DenominationalScope of Work Job Title: Family Pastor
The Family Pastor contributes to the Mission of Waukesha Bible Church by (1) shepherding the families with children (birth to 18 years old), (2) coordinating ministries to support our families, equipping them to be theologically and relationally healthy, and (3) serving them through a ministry of word and prayer. Shepherding – While the watch-care of the flock is the collective responsibility of the Elders, the Family Pastor is the primary Elder who cares for and invests in the families with children birth to 18 years old in preventative, precautionary, and proactive measures that requires his presence.
Ministry Coordination – Oversees all student ministries to serve our families and equip our students. While ministries and programs may change, current ministries under his oversight are childcare, junior church, Awana, and youth ministry.
Word and Prayer – The ministry of the word and prayer takes a high priority regardless of the audience or platform.
The Family Pastor is the primary Elder who oversees all curriculum and resources used within the ministry programs. He will also participate in the sermon development team to strengthen the pulpit and will preach and teach in rotation. Prayer will be a natural and regular part of his care for this church family.
