Summary of Primary Purpose: Responsible for the overall spiritual health of students within the ministry. Lead and coordinate daily, weekly and monthly plans, events and tasks critical to the growth, development and care of student ministry. Works with the Campus Pastor for the needs of student population and partner closely with other Student Ministry Directors within Harvest. Gospel-centered relationships, volunteer and leadership development and comprehensive Bible teaching.

Scope of role: Recruiting, equipping and empowering volunteers. Safety and security compliance for all volunteers adhering to all regulatory requirements. Budget responsibility for designated campus.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities included but not limited to: Lead students to the Gospel and mission of Harvest in congruent with Campus Pastors and provide theological direction and teaching. Oversee the safety and welfare of all students. Prepare and provide pastoral and spiritual leadership and guidance for students including Bible teaching and preaching. Plan, coordinate and implement various needs for meetings and events, including preparation so each event will be an effective God enriching experience. Make connections with students in/out of the church and Invest in the lives of students. Communicate regularly to students, parents, volunteers and Campus Pastor to keep all informed and encourages partnership and involvement. Works with other Student Ministry leaders and oversee programming, promotion, resourcing and execution of various services, meetings and events. Support pastoral staff in providing teaching to families, students, volunteers, etc. Work cross-functionally on the development of policy and procedures regarding Child Protection, Safety and Security. Develop trusted relationships with teams and families to effectively listen and respond to and solve concerns. Support parents in effectively fulfilling their parenting roles, in concert with other pastoral staff. Provide care while leading and developing others (leaders & volunteers) within the ministry. Maintain high integrity and model a Christ-centered lifestyle. Be an active and engaged member with the local campus staff and participate with various required meetings (i.e. 1:1, team meetings, etc.). Schedule is non-traditional work hours (includes weekends and evenings).
