Parachurch OrganizationPosition Purpose: The City Life Program Staff will develop relational outreach and programming for City Life. Working under the supervision of the City Life Operations Director and in conjunction with the City Life team, the City Life Program Staff will coordinate ministry operations. The City Life Program Staff will serve as leadership at the facility and develop programming to address the primary holistic needs of 11–19 year olds, equipping and empowering them to become transformed lifelong followers of Jesus, through comprehensive ministry efforts.
Essential Job Functions and Duties: – Lead, organize, and develop programming ministry activities at the City Life facility multiple evenings a week. – Participate in weekly City Life team meetings focused on developing creative programming, assessing ministry needs, and praying for ministry vision. – Collaborate with the City Life team on developing ministry goals for City Life and mapping out steps for achieving these meaningful goals. – Pursue authentic Christ-sharing relationships with youth. – Engage in Relational Ministry Activities with youth, including Contacting, Building Times, and Appointments. – Champion YFC Ambassadors initiative among current and prospective volunteers and donors. – Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the mission of YFC. – Assist other staff members when necessary in the development and implementation of ministry and personal spiritual growth. – Refer to the Knowledge Base standards, processes & best practices in coordinating efficient and effective ministry Fundraising Responsibilities: All YFC regular full-time employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in the Stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These opportunities could include fundraising events, YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided. Spiritual Responsibilities: Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and a minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to: – Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives. – Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC. – Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events. Note: In the future, YFC USA will be establishing the guidelines for the Ordination or Licensing for staff.
