Non-DenominationalAim: The mission of Center Church is to lead people to a Jesus-centered life. In support of this mission, the aim of this role is to ensure that Center Kids ministers to the families of this church in a way that leads to Christ-centered living.
Responsibilities: ○ Culture – Continually develop our culture of being Christ-centered, Fun, Excellent, Safe, & Welcoming ○ Ministry Programming – Ensure a safe, orderly, and welcoming experience for each family attending a worship service. Ensure that ministry is in alignment with the ministry philosophy of Center Church ○ Curriculum – Oversee curriculum materials produced for weekly ministry ○ Volunteer Management – Ensure our volunteers are properly equipped ○ Recruit – Invite qualified people to disciple kids towards the Up, In, & Out life ○ Suit – Ensure volunteers complete the onboarding process: background check, shepherding agreement, Mandatory Reporter Training, and the Kids Handbook ○ Train – Model discipleship, guide volunteers, and empower them to run the ministry ○ Sustain – Care for, encourage, and disciple your volunteers over the long term ○ Communication – Oversee the communication process with families ○ Transition to Center Youth – Collaborate with the Youth Ministry to help 5th graders successfully transition into Center Youth Accountability: Reporting – This role reports to the Youth Pastor (Middle School YP) Expectations – The supervisor and employee are to keep open communication with regard to the objectives and priorities of this role through the use of a Ministry Action Plan Meetings ● Bi-weekly one on one with Student Pastor ● Weekly All Staff meeting ● Miscellaneous meetings as needed for special initiatives ● Annual planning retreats as scheduled by Lead Pastor
Requirements: Personal Qualifications ● A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord ● Commitment to the vision and goals of Center Church ● A Family Member of Center Church in good standing ● Experience in a leadership capacity of comparable responsibilities Leadership ● Interpersonal communication skills accompanied with a high emotional intelligence ● Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills ● Highly relational leader who empowers others to engage with the church’s mission, vision, and values ● Ability to organize systems, events, and people around stated ministry goals ● Ability to learn essential platforms for Staff leadership. Including but not limited to Planning Center, Click-Up, G-Suite, Mailchimp, Canva, & Pro Presenter Demands ● Must take initiative to independently achieve ministry responsibilities ● Ability to self-manage and initiate needed work to achieve objectives of Ministry Action Plan ● Must be able to adapt and work under the demands of an intense ministry environment ● Capacity to grow with the changing leadership demands of a developing church ● Must be able to empower and hold others accountable.
