Position Overview: The primary role of this position is to create and implement a clear vision for Student Ministry that helps students and families grow in relationship with Christ. This person will have leadership responsibility for all student ministry (infants through High School) with a specific focus on youth ministry (6th through 12th grades). This person will collaborate with the Lead Pastor, youth ministry leaders, and children’s ministry leaders to establish a clear ministry vision, goals, and programs.
Responsibilities: Youth Ministry – The Family Ministries Pastor will be responsible for providing servant leadership in helping to create and sustain a clear and compelling vision for SHF student ministry that is in alignment with the mission and values the church. This includes teaching and discipling the students, as well as supporting and mentoring the adult volunteers. Children’s Ministry – The Family Ministries Pastor will provide oversight and direction to the Children’s Ministry Coordinator and volunteers. This includes working with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator to develop and implement curriculum, coordinate activities, and facilitate volunteer training. Other Pastoral Ministry – The Family Ministries Pastor will partner with the pastors and elders in living out the Mission and Values of SHF. This includes assisting the Lead Pastor in pastoral ministry of the church, such as preaching and pastoral care.
Qualifications and Experience Required: Meets the qualifications of an elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Aligns with the doctrine and distinctives of Shiloh Hills Fellowship Maintains and models a mature and growing relationship with God in Jesus Christ. Bachelors in Bible or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience. Preferred Master’s Degree with a focus in Biblical Studies or a similar field 2 years of experience as a staff member in youth and/or family ministry or a related field.
Compensation: This is a full-time position. Total compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
