González Nieves teaches as an Adjunct Professor for the Undergraduate’s Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries programs at Trinity International University. Since graduating with her MDiv, she has been working in Christian higher education, first as Alumni Relations Coordinator for Trinity’s main campus and now as Community Partnerships Coordinator for Trinity Florida.
González Nieves’s areas of academic interests include systematic theology; Majority World Christian theologies, especially Latin American and Caribbean theologies; gender-based violence in Latin America, the Caribbean, and indigenous communities; and race.
She is a founder-editor of
The Mosaic Bulletin, a publication of
Mosaic Ministries at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Her writings have been featured in Blogos, the official blog for the Logos Institute of Analytic and Exegetical Theology at the University of St. Andrews; and The GlobalChurch Project. Her book chapter “When We Were Not Women: Race and Discourses on Womanhood” is included in the forthcoming edition of
Discovering Biblical Equality (IVP Academic, 2021).
