Prior to answering a call to ordained ministry, preaching and teaching, Doug Clark, adjunct professor of Bible, communication and speech, served in various communication positions including radio announcer, journalist and communication director. He was ordained in 2013, as a teaching elder (pastor) in the Presbyterian Church in America. In 2014 he was endorsed by the Presbyterian and Reformed Commission on Chaplains. In 2015, he earned his commission as a US Army officer and chaplain. Doug has preached countless sermons and has published numerous newspaper, magazine and corporate articles and enjoys integrating his communication skills into his chaplain ministry and preaching.
His research interests include Greek and Hebrew, eschatology, Church history and persuasive communication strategies and tactics. Doug loves traveling and experiencing other cultures; and has been to Scotland, England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, Jordan and Puerto Rico.
Doug is married and has three nearly adult children.
