Dr. Gundlach specializes in American intellectual, cultural, and religious history and also enjoys teaching broadly in world civilization, the philosophy and methods of history, and church history. Recently he took Trinity College students abroad for the May term class, “Exploring Europe: Arts and Culture.” He has also taught Reformation History and Theology for the Ambex program in Germany. He served for many years on the board of the Conference on Faith and History and as book review editor for its journal, Fides et Historia. Dr. Gundlach is the author of Process and Providence: The Evolution Question at Princeton, 1845-1929, and was a member of The Creation Project at TEDS. He is currently working on a biography of Princeton theologian B.B. Warfield and is serving on the planning committee for the Evangelical Theological Society’s section on Christian History and Thought since 1700.
