The Clothes Horse is an on-campus ministry that provides clothes, toys, food, and small household items free of charge to graduate students and their families. Faculty wives began this ministry at Trinity over 50 years ago, and the ministry of the Clothes Horse is made possible today by the work and contributions of many people.
The Clothes Horse accepts donations during business hours of gently used or like-new items of items on this list:
We do not accept large furniture items. There is a very little space in the store, so all items must be small enough to hang on a rack or sit on a shelf. Large furniture items can be donated to the furniture room for international students. For information on the storage room or to make a donation, contact Alan Ramsland at [email protected].
Semester 2020 hours:
Tuesdays: 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m.
Thursdays: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
There is a Salvation Army bin northeast of the building in between C and D apartments, where donations may be placed after hours. Donors may contact the store in advance to schedule an after-hours donation at [email protected]. Please try to schedule at least a week in advance.
Financial contributions, including online or cash donations, may be made through Advancement and University Relations at Trinity. Gifts should be designated for “The Clothes Horse.” Monetary gifts go directly to purchasing food items.
Checks can also be made, payable to: Trinity International University, memo line: “The Clothes Horse” and mailed to:
