Title: Associate, Residential Community Years 1 – 2 – University of Central Florida (UCF)
Scope of Position: The 1st and 2nd Year Associate assists the WinShape College Program (WSCP) Residential Community staff teams at the University of Central Florida in planning and executing 1st and 2nd Year programming, including Catalytic Events and weekly training. This role includes mentoring core group leaders and providing guidance in discipling 1st and 2nd year students.
Reports to: Team Leader, Residential Community – University of Central Florida (UCF)
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the planning and execution of Catalytic Events and other student events, including working with the budget, staff and student leaders
- Assists in executing Core Training logistics, calendaring, & content development
- Provides occasional content delivery, including Biblical teaching, at Catalytic Events, Core Training, and other student gatherings
- Provides mentoring for Year 1 and 2 core group leaders
- Assists in the interview, selection, & training process for core group leaders
- Contributes to the spiritual, mental, and emotional development of current college students through one-on-one meetings and through weekly involvement with other staff on the Student Care Team
- Assists in recruiting new WinShape College Program students for the Residential Community at University of Central Florida (UCF)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 0-2 years of college ministry experience preferred
- Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in presentations to students and ministry leaders
- A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis
- Has a passion for college students to know Jesus Christ and live for Him
- Possess a valid driver’s license and has an acceptable driving record
Location: Orlando, Florida
FLSA Status: Regular Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Please note: This is a part-time role that follows a two year development process for student leaders and ends in May 2025.
