The LP leads the mission and vision of Vertical Life Church. He faithfully loves, models, and proclaims Jesus Christ and the Word of God to the church and community. He oversees the shepherding of the faith family at VLC in keeping with the Vertical Life Church Mission, Vision, and Makeup.
Responsibility
The Lead Pastor must
- Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him.
- Meet the biblical qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1–13; Titus 1:6–9, 1 Peter 5:1-11).
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity, be committed to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and desire Christlikeness in personal character.
- Be fully committed to the doctrine, vision and ministry of VLC.
- Be teachable, vulnerable, and transparent.
- Lead with a humble spirit, God-dependent faith and a servant’s heart.
- Embody a spirit of humility and brokenness before the Lord.
