The Bridge Community Church in the northwest Chicago suburbs is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Student Ministry Intern.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in a career in ministry! You will get training and hands-on experience with leading teams as well as planning and execution of multi- campus ministry events. This is a highly visible role; you will interact with other ministry departments and leaders within the church.
This part-time, paid internship is designed for current college or graduate students.
The role is on-site and could rotate between our Des Plaines, Prospect Heights, and Chicago locations. There are also multiple opportunities for summer interns to oversee our middle and high school summer camp sessions at The Woods in Fredonia, WI.
Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
For summer interns, help plan and run the sessions at The Woods camp for middle and high school students.
Oversee our mid-week student program at the various church locations (including helping plan stage games, setting up for the mid-week program, making runs for supplies, and helping develop and preach sermons).
Meet with and mentor middle and high school students.
Plan and execute various large-scale student events (movie nights, color wars, location- wide worship night, etc.)
Qualifications:
Follower of Jesus Christ.
Current college or graduate student with interest in ministry (any major is welcome). Hard-working and humble personality.
Willingness to learn and be challenged.
Must work well with a team.
Possession of a car that can be used to drive to the various Bridge locations, including our camp in Wisconsin.
