About the Worship Director:
The Director Level exists to provide ministry leadership through vision casting, volunteer recruiting, ongoing discipleship of volunteers, and promoting value-based movement engagement. This role provides leadership in all streams of worship ministry throughout Mission Church.
The Worship Director’s responsibilities include:
Recruit, train, and disciple worship volunteers developing a culture of Holy Spirit dependency.
Work with Pastors and Creative Team to plan music for weekend services and mid-week gatherings including Partner Gatherings, Growth Track courses, and other ministry gatherings.
Curate a roster of theologically sound worship songs that help develop a healthy worship culture.
Schedule worship volunteers for worship services and other ministry gatherings and events.
Manage all worship contractors (e.g., scheduling, payment, feedback, etc.).
Prepare and populate Planning Center with practice resources.
Create Ableton sessions to support the band on stage.
Lead band rehearsals and direct the band on and off stage.
Lead team huddles
Oversee the worship budget and strategic spending.
Support other ministries with worship initiatives.
Support the Families team to develop a worship structure.
Attend bi-weekly 1:1 with supervisor and bi-weekly Creative Team meeting.
Network, develop, and maintain key relationships with other worship leaders.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience:
Undergrad degree preferred
5 years of applicable experience leading a worship ministry in a church with multiple services
Experience leading and pastoring large volunteer teams
Experience with music technology including Abelton, Logic, and other DAWs

Bloomingdale is a simple, yet vibrant city in the wonderful state of IL. Many that visit comment on the friendliness of the residents, the great restaurants, and the amount of history the city holds. There is plenty to do while in Bloomingdale, such as the Oasis Water Park, Bloomingdale Park District Museum, and the Spring Creek Reservoir Forest Preserve. With its moderately low cost of living, this city is a great place to put down roots and raise a family!
