POSITION SUMMARY
The Youth Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee and provide leadership in coordinating and implementing teaching, programming, and service/outreach opportunities for Student Ministry (6th-12th grade). This position works closely with all Student Ministry volunteer leaders and is supervised by the Director of Discipleship & Worship.
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
Relationship Building
Develop and nurture relationships with students and their parents.
Recruit, equip, and build relationships with volunteer leaders for all aspects of programming.
Teaching
Facilitate and manage the Sunday morning Christian Education class schedule, serving as a regular presence in both the Middle School and High School areas.
Establish and execute a curriculum plan for Sunday morning and midweek programming.
Administration
Coordinate communication with students, parents, and volunteers.
Develop and maintain the Student Ministry calendar and volunteer schedule.
Establish and maintain the Student Ministry budget.
Midweek Programming
Oversee and coordinate large group activities (games, message, and worship).
Oversee and coordinate midweek small groups for Middle and High School.
Retreats, Special Events, Serving Opportunities
Oversee and coordinate seasonal retreats.
Lead and coordinate Youth Ministry summer mission trips.
Seek out and provide opportunities for Middle and High School to serve in ministry together.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred; two years related experience and/or training; teaching/facilitating experience.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
Full-time position
40 hours per week
Weekend/Evening availability; regular weekly office hours
Salary – dependent on skills, level of experience and qualifications
