About our area and church
• McClave, Colorado (Pop. 750 as of the 2020 census), is a rural agricultural community located in Bent County, which is in the southeast corner of the State. Agriculture remains the largest industry in the area followed by employment at the local Pre-K through 12 school district (roughly 237 total students). The town is a 20 min drive from the regional hub Lamar which has the local grocery stores, gas stations, and hospital. McClave sits only nine miles from John Martin Reservoir which offers a plethora of outdoor and watersport activities.

• Our church is both established and new. For many years it operated as the McClave United Methodist Church. However, after we failed to resolve issues relating to Biblical Interpretation, our congregation voted to disaffiliate from the denomination and become a new entity known as the McClave Community Christian Church. Our church is working hard to share the gospel, support local families, and serve the community to the glory of God. Our church hosts two youth groups during the school year one for pre-k through fifth grade and one for junior high and high school, and we work closely with the local food bank, the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We currently have an average Sunday attendance of around 40 people, but we believe there is a significant opportunity to expand our ministry in this new season.
