Lakeview Presbyterian Church (LPC), a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America, looks to employ an Office Manager to further the vision, mission, and ministry of LPC by assisting the pastoral staff in administrative and budgetary duties, managing the church office and its responsibilities, coordinating with ministry leaders, and facilitating internal and external communications and technologies.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Good soft/people skills and team player
Technologically adept and capable, including expertise with Google Suite, Planning Center, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram); and an ability to learn WordPress and website management
Experience with budgets and financial reporting
Self-starter, able to work independently
Trustworthy with confidential/sensitive information and matters (finances, pastoral meetings, etc.)
Robust Christian faith
Not a member or regular attender of LPC
Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage office and administrative activities of the church
Oversee church calendars and building scheduling
Work with diaconate on facility maintenance with minimal disruption to church activities
Help with event coordination (i.e. weddings, funerals, classes, meetings, projects, Presbytery, and sometimes church-wide events)
Support the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastors to prepare for weekly Sunday worship as well as schedule, develop, distribute, and facilitate meetings, agendas, and materials (including food and drink) for staff, session, committee, and sundry meetings
Assist the Senior Pastor with scheduling appointments, maintaining Senior Pastor’s calendar, and responding to phone inquiries
Regularly update the church website and church directory
Lead or assist with production of the Sunday worship guide, worship slides, narthex slides, etc.
Other administrative duties as needed or assigned
Compensation and Other Information
Part-Time Salaried Position: Exempt from overtime; no health or other benefits provided
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Hours: 25 hours/week; Mon/Wed/Fri: 9:00am-3:00pm in church office; Tues/Thur: remote as needed
Paid Time Off (PTO): Lakeview Presbyterian Church will allow for 10 days of PTO. A minimum of two weeks notice is required to schedule time off.
Compensation: $40,000 per year (paid monthly at the end of each month)
At-Will Employment: This agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties and there are no other verbal or written agreements. Your employment with Lakeview Presbyterian Church is entered into voluntarily and either party can terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Ordinarily, thirty (30) days notice of termination will be provided by either party, but this may be waived under extraordinary circumstances.
