The Worship Pastor is the spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the worship ministry of Hopeful Baptist Church. Works with the Senior Pastor and other Associate Pastors to create a well-planned and prayerful worship service for all HBC worship events.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary worship leader for Hopeful Baptist Church on Sundays and other events as approved by Senior Pastor such as Wednesday nights for HBC students.
Recruit and train musical talent (vocalists and instrumentalists) for choir, worship team and band.
Maintain a schedule of musicians and oversee their development as players and leaders.
Lead weekly rehearsals for worship team, Band and choir.
Organize and lead rehearsals and preparation for programs of special emphases such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.
Prepare songs and electronic media to support sermons and worship events.
Invite, coordinate and promote special music events by internal and external groups or individuals that complement the worship goals of HBC.
Oversee the setup of staging including sound, lights, video, overheads, props, etc. to support all worship events.
Coordinate schedules along with in-service and training for media support volunteers.
Follow up with people that are interested in volunteering in the worship/media ministry.
Participate in staff meetings, leadership retreats and provide evaluation and feedback to Senior Pastor and other HBC staff.
