Hastings Berean is ready to hire our next senior pastor and are looking for good men to prayerfully consider if God may be calling you to this opportunity. Our church family is made up of people from Hastings, Nebraska as well as surrounding small towns and rural areas. We are a board-led church with strong leaders who are willing and able to step into preaching, teaching, and administrative roles as needed. Sunday morning attendance averages 135 and although attendance has gone down over the last few years, financial giving has gone up, showing that current attenders are invested financially as well as personally in the work that God is doing at Hastings Berean. We have no debt and we own our church building as well as a couple of other properties that we rent out, including a well-located property for a new church building in the future, if the Lord directs us down that path.
We struggle with serving the needs of our community as a church body, but we have the potential to impact many people because of the variety of communities, professions, and generations represented within our body. We care deeply about worldwide outreach, and financially and prayerfully support more than 20 missionaries and ministries. Our annual giving towards missions exceeds $80,000 (about 25% of all giving).
As a congregation, we are passionate about the future of Hastings Berean and are ready to move toward the changes and transformation needed to fulfill God’s vision for us. We are looking for someone who loves God, loves His people, and feels God’s call to serve alongside us in Hastings, Nebraska. We need someone to teach the Bible and help apply it to daily life in the context of our culture. We want someone with an evangelistic vision to lead and challenge us to serve Christ both within and beyond the church building’s walls.
