Great Oaks Camp was established in 1972 as a ministry to the low-income youth of Peoria. We believe that the experience of a week of camp is life changing. We offer summer camp to children and youth from the central Illinois area. We offer scholarships (even up to free camp) for those who qualify. Great Oaks runs several weeks of Youth camps each summer. Campers as young as 7-years and as old as 18-years attend age-specific weeks of camp.
While at camp, youth participate in a wide range of activities, from archery to swimming, field games and other fun activities. Daily chapels are designed to be fun, while conveying to campers the message that they are unique, special, and created by God.

Build Relationships with Campers and Fellow Summer Staff
Do Odd Jobs Around Camp
Have Fun
and Grow Spiritually Through Discipleship and Devotionals
