OVERVIEW
Grace Bible Church (GBC) is an independent Bible Church located in Washington, IL, with an average attendance of 85-95. We are prayerfully searching for our next senior pastor who is relational, a motivational leader and effective biblical teacher who will work with the church and its leadership to lead GBC into the new season of life and ministry God has for us.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Pastor of Grace Bible Church will be a passionate follower of Christ who effectively communicates God’s Word. He will provide leadership for all aspects of GBC ministry, guiding the church to pursue its mission of Sharing Jesus, Growing Together, and Impacting Our World. He will connect well with individuals and help them to become connected with others in the larger body by promoting appropriate and healthy relationships.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preaching, teaching, and discipling.
Providing pastoral care for the church family.
Serving with other church leaders to provide overall leadership for the church.
Overseeing the general administration of the church.
QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
5 years of pastoral experience and/or experience in church leadership positions.
Bachelor’s degree from a Bible College required.
Effective communicator of the Bible who makes Scripture relevant to life issues.
Team player who will work well with other church leaders.
Displays a mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
