FBC Mahomet is seeking a part-time worship leader to lead worship during the 10:30 am Sunday service.
Prepare a blended service of traditional and contemporary songs, leaning more toward the contemporary music
Work with the pastor to select songs that connect with the theme of the message
Coordinate other musicians, pianists and volunteers
The ability to lead vocally
Ability to lead with an instrument (eg. guitar, keyboard, percussion) a plus
Prepare music for team: lyric sheets, chord sheets, sheet music, and associated digital media (Easy Worship slides)
Plan and coordinate auditions and rehearsals
Train volunteers as needed
Qualifications:
A committed Christian
Meets Christian standards for serving in a leadership capacity
Committed to a team approach to leadership
Salary:
A generous weekly salary based on experience and gifts
Flexibility with scheduling outside of Sunday morning
