OVERVIEW
The Sussex pastor provides motivation and guidance to leaders and volunteers at CrossWay Sussex. This role requires a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategies of CrossWay and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with its mission, vision, and values. The Campus pastor will offer pastoral leadership to all ministries of the campus, aligning them with the systems, practices, and policies of the church. The Campus pastor is the primary preaching pastor at the Sussex Campus as part of the CrossWay teaching team. The Campus pastor will live out CrossWay’s values consistently, serving as an example to the staff, volunteers, and community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serving on the Lead Team
- Preaching between 30-35 weekends a year at the Sussex Campus within the CrossWay preaching philosophy and calendar.
- Providing leadership regarding the direction of the Sussex Campus.
- Implementing the three Core Values of CrossWay Church.
- Collaborating with the ministry directors and staff in a spirit of unity.
- Caring for the people of Sussex, our community, and ministry partners.
- Reporting to Executive Pastor of Ministry.
- Attend weekly all staff chapel time and required staff gatherings.
- Initiating, implementing, and refining campus ministry strategies.

- Mature grasp of the Bible and ability to teach and lead biblically.

- Willingness to get licensed and ordained in the Alliance Denomination.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
- Living in the ministry region of the Sussex Campus.
