About the Grow Pastor:
The Grow Pastor is responsible to live out the character qualifications of an Elder. He works with the Executive Pastor, Senior Pastor and Elder Board to accomplish the purpose, vision and mission of Crossroads Community Church. The Grow Pastor will lead, align, oversee and integrate staff, lay leaders, volunteers and various ministries toward accomplishing the shared mission of Crossroads. The Grow Pastor will be responsible for leading and shepherding all ministry departments within Grow: Kids, Students, College, Men, Women, Adults, Small Groups and Crossroads Institute.
The Grow Pastor’s Responsibilities Include:
He will actively support, implement and promote the Crossroads Mission Statement.
(KNOW, GROW, GO). In addition, the Grow Pastor will live-out the Crossroads Cultural.

He will cast vision and provide overall leadership to ensure the long-term Spiritual growth/strategic growth and overall effectiveness of the Crossroads Grow Ministry.
Based on experience, he may serve as a member of the Crossroads Senior Leadership Team which includes the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Know Pastor and Go Pastor.
He will seek out, identify recruit and equip gifted Crossroads members to serve within the Grow ministry.
He will oversee and work closely with the Men’s Ministry Coordinator and Men’s Ministry Team to provide discipleship events (i.e., Bible studies, Conferences, Fellowships, etc.).
He will oversee and work closely with the Crossroads Women’s Ministry Director and Women’s Ministry Team to provide a wide array of discipleship events (i.e., Bible studies, Conferences, Fellowships, etc.).
He will oversee, plan and direct the CrossroadsInstitute which is designed to offer church members more in-depth studies of God’s Word, Theology, etc.
He will oversee and work closely with the Crossroads Small Group Coordinator to help grow the number of Crossroads Small Groups as well as the number of Small Group Leaders and participants.
He will oversee and work closely with the Crossroads College Ministry Pastor to help develop and provide a wide-range of ministry offerings including: Bible Studies, Retreats, Fellowships, etc.
He will oversee and work closely with the Crossroads Student Ministries Pastor to ensure high-quality biblical/theological teaching content as well as strong volunteer leadership.
He will oversee and work closely with the Crossroads Children’s Ministry Pastor to ensure excellent kids ministry programming and care for children from birth thru 6th grade.
He will be a regular part of the Pastor of the Month (Pastor on call) rotation.
He will be available for general Pastoral duties including teaching, preaching, counseling, conducting weddings and funerals, baptisms, etc.
He will be expected to shepherd/pastor Grow leaders and volunteers by providing mentoring, encouragement and constructive evaluations.
He will be responsible for overseeing the administration of the Grow Department (i.e. budgeting, personnel, equipment ordering, schedules, calendars, etc.)
He will coordinate with the Technologies, Facilities and Worship departments to ensure all Grow ministries have adequate support.
He will be expected to take an active teaching role within the Grow ministry.
He will have the ability to select and/or create and evaluate all curriculums within the Grow Department.
He will seek out and attend at least one conference and/or workshop each year in order to enhance his Grow related leadership and/or knowledge.
He will keep current with new trends, processes, and technologies in his area.
He will function as requested by the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in any other areas deemed necessary.

Bachelor’s degree, required
Master’s degree, required
5 years of ministry experience in medium to large churches

He will be a man who seeks personal holiness in order to lead the people of Crossroads with both purity and passion.
He must be highly relational with a heart for people and love for the flock.
He must be a leader of leaders who has a proven track-record of developing ministries and ministry teams.
He must have the gift of teaching.
He must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
He will demonstrate humble maturity, a teachable spirit and a grace-based Godliness (Gal. 5:22-23).
He will have a gracious and approachable personality.
He must possess the character qualities listed in 1 Tim. 3; Titus 1 and 1 Peter 5.
He will maintain a relationship with his wife and children that models God’s design.
He must be a man of prayer in both his personal life and his ministry.
He must be a multi-tasker who does not become easily overwhelmed.
He must be an energetic self-starter who is structured, organized and focused but also, flexible.
He must be a vision caster and promoter who can keep his teams encouraged.
He must be a Crossroads Family Member in good-standing.

Valencia, California is located in the Santa Clarita Valley which has a population of approximately 250,000. While located in Los Angeles County, Valencia is removed from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles proper which lies 30 miles to the south. Valencia has that great quintessential California weather along with great churches and schools, and it affords an abundance of shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. all while being only an hour from beautiful beaches as well as snow-capped mountains.
