Crossroads Community Bible Church (CCBC) of Laytonsville, MD is currently seeking a senior pastor. The church is located in Montgomery County, considered to be one of the most progressive and diverse counties in Maryland. The church is a multi-cultural and multi-generational body of believers that adheres to SBC’s Baptist Faith & Message 2000. It began as a home church mainly catering to new immigrants from the Philippines that eventually grew in number and diversity.
The church is hoping to find a Pastor who can stir the body towards growing into a welcoming, gospel centered discipleship and mission focused church.
A suitable candidate must have at least 5 years of pastoral experience, lives out the Baptist faith and message and with a theological degree from an accredited seminary. He is called to lead our growing congregation by starting a strong discipleship ministry whose aim is to mentor men and women to become strong godly leaders in their respective families, their church and communities.
It is preferred that the Pastor has some experience ministering to a culture different from their own (cross-cultural) but not mandatory. He must demonstrate the biblical qualifications of a Pastor as it is outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-10.
