Position Responsibilities
1. Provide vision, leadership, and volunteer development for assimilation, evangelism, and discipleship strategies and systems in alignment with the church’s mission and vision. This includes overseeing the assimilation systems (i.e., following up guests, new believers, baptisms, membership, etc.), growth groups, men’s & women’s ministry teams, and missions.
2. Strategize with the senior pastor and implement relational disciple-making strategies and leadership development pipelines to multiply disciples of Jesus and leaders.
3. Recruit, train, and coach volunteers in the ministries you oversee so that they are using their gifts and talents.
4. Manage strategic projects with the senior pastor to see us accomplish our long-term vision.
5. Manage financials for adult ministries, missions, and outreach, which includes an annual budget, cash received, and expenditures reporting.
6. Preach up to 8 times a year. Participate in worship services and activities as needed.
7. Manage the benevolence ministry of the church.
8. Provide some of the biblical counseling and pre-marital counseling.
9. Conduct some of the weddings and funerals.
10. Attend weekly worship services, participate in a growth group, and be involved in the life of the church by attending events (i.e., worship & prayer nights, special outreach events, etc…).
11. Participate in the weekly staff meetings. Build a collaborative relationship with CrossPoint staff to achieve the church’s vision. This involves cross-serving in other ministries at times.
12. Duties may be modified based on the gifting of the Associate Pastor and the leadership needs within the church as directed by the Senior Pastor.
13. This position is under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor. You will work closely with the senior pastor to execute the vision and strategy to see CrossPoint be a disciple-multiplying church and a healthy expression of the body of Christ.
