Job Description

Cornerstone is a suburban/rural church in the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) located in Westford, Massachusetts, seeking a solo full-time pastor. This position entails the following responsibilities: preaching and teaching; discipling and equipping; short-term pastoral counseling; visitation; and administration with the help of the elders, a part-time Next Gen (youth and children) coordinator, and a part-time office administrator. A complete position description will be provided later in the process. Cornerstone started just over seven years ago as a church plant from Immanuel Church in the adjacent town of Chelmsford, and we are looking for a pastor to help us grow into the vision God has for our church.

Westford is a town of about 25,000 people, and Cornerstone may be the only evangelical church in town. The town of Westford is located in the Nashoba Valley and Merrimack Valley Region north-west of Boston, Massachusetts and only a few miles from the New Hampshire border. While not far from all modern amenities, the area retains much of its rural character with farms, orchards, and conservation land. Many people in the area work in technology, pharmaceuticals, finance and other professional occupations. The people in this area are predominantly Caucasian with a growing Asian/Indian population. There is no shortage of activities in the region. Within an hour or two drive there are world-class museums, orchestras, restaurants, and theaters. There are mountains, lakes, ocean beaches, and everything in between.

Our core values, statement of faith, bylaws, constitution, and many of the other things you may want to know prior to engaging with us can be found on our church website www.cornerstonewestford.com.

If you wish to apply, please send your resume, statement of faith, philosophy of ministry, and testimony to [email protected].
