PURPOSE: To serve in the student ministry with primary focus on developing the spiritual growth of youth (6th – 12th grade) and college students.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education:
o Undergraduate degree from a Christian college or
o Any undergraduate degree plus seminary coursework/degree
• Exhibit Christ centered life
• Agree with ACCCN Statement of Faith (available at www.acccn.org)
• Strong vision for missions
• Strong relational skills
• Committed to full-time ministry
• Servant leadership skills
• Experienced in and passionate about working with students
• Committed to personal spiritual development
• Worship team leadership skills a plus
• Experience with Asian American culture a plus
SUMMARY of MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement, under the supervision of the PEC (Pastors and Elders Council) and with the help of co-workers, a model of ministry which provides integrated and effective opportunities for students in discipleship, bible study, leadership, fellowship, service, and recreation. The Student Minister is accountable to the JBED (Joint Board of Elders and Deacons) for ministry operations and to the PEC for spiritual growth. The Youth Deacon serves as primary liaison between the Student Minister and the JBED. The English Ministry Pastor serves as primary liaison between the Student Minister and the PEC.
