Farewell to a President
On May 12, 2007, as the members of the Class of 2007 strode one by one across a stage in the Meyer Sports Complex to receive their diplomas, they received heartfelt handshakes, hugs, and congratulations from Trinity’s president, Dr. Gregory Waybright. The day marked Waybright’s twelfth and final Commencement at Trinity before he returned to the pastorate at the end of the summer. His leadership at Trinity spanned a significant decade—its first as a university.
