Kenneth M. Meyer
Kenneth M. Meyer is the former chancellor of Trinity International University. He served as chancellor from 1995 until 2007. Meyer became president of the divinity school in 1974 and of the college in 1984. In 1991 he was named president of Miami Christian College, which became Trinity's South Florida Campus in 1992. Under Meyer's leadership Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School united in January 1995 to form Trinity International University.
Prior to assuming the presidency of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Meyer was pastor of First Evangelical Free Church of Rockford, Illinois. Under his leadership the church drew up to 1,700 in total attendance, while an estimated 20,000 listeners heard its Sunday morning radio broadcasts. He has also served as pastor of Free churches in Glenview, Illinois, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A native of Chicago, Meyer earned the Bachelor of Divinity from Trinity Seminary in 1956, graduating first in his class. He pursued studies at Wheaton Graduate School, Northern Baptist Seminary, and the University of Minnesota. In 1978 he earned the Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.
Meyer has been executive secretary of the Christian education department of the Evangelical Free Church of America and a member of the Fellowship of Evangelical Seminary Presidents. His leadership was instrumental in the formation of the Christian College Consortium. He is chairman of the board of Food for the Hungry and a member of the Evangelical Free Church Ministerial Association. He is listed in Who's Who of the U.S.A. and Who's Who in Religion.
Widely respected for his financial judgment, Meyer is the author of Minister's Guide to Financial Planning (Zondervan 1987).
He and his wife, Carol, have three grown children, and maintain residences in Illinois and Florida.
