Paul Maurer
Paul Maurer serves Trinity International University in the role of Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement, providing oversight for gift income, alumni and parent relations, and marketing and communications. Previously, Dr. Maurer served at Westmont College by overseeing the successful completion of its $57M capital campaign. In his years of service in education and other ministry settings, Dr. Maurer has also provided leadership in the areas of strategic planning, public speaking, program development, team building, and media relations. Dr. Maurer holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in political science from Claremont Graduate University in March 2007, where he was an H. B. Earhart and John M. Olin Fellow. He has published in Presidential Studies Quarterly, contributed to The Moral Authority of Government, and presented papers on the role of religion and morality in politics at political science conferences. He has served in a variety of ministry roles, working as youth leader, interim pastor, elder, teacher/preacher, and Bible study teacher and facilitator. Dr. Maurer lives in Libertyville with his wife, Joellen, and their four children.
