Tenure-Track Positions for Fall 2008

Athletic Training & Clinical Education Coordinator

Assistant Professor: The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program, maintain clinical education records; assessment of student performance during clinical education experiences; conduct regular site visits; develop new clinical education sites; and teach athletic training courses. Professional qualifications include a Masters or earned Doctorate (preferred) in Athletic Training or related discipline, 5 year (minimum) BOC certified, a minimum of 3 years experience in teaching (preferably as an Approved Clinical Instructor, ACI). Candidates must by knowledgeable of CAATE standards and guidelines and able to meet state of IL requirements for licensure.

Mathematics & Computer Information Systems 

Professor: Responsibilities include teaching mathematics and overseeing the Computer Information Systems minor.  Applicants should have a PhD in mathematics or applied mathematics; ABD candidates will be considered.  Final candidates may be subject to a background check.  Click here for the School of Science & Technology's web page. 

Teacher Education

Asst./Assoc. Professor:  Tenure -track position in educational technology. Experience in K-12 schools is required; experience as technology facilitator/technology trainer of teachers is ideal. Additional qualifications include an earned doctorate (ABD considered), superior teaching skills, student-centered approach manifested in teaching and mentoring, and the ability to work collaboratively. Asst./Assoc. Professor (open rank):  Tenure-track position for excellent teacher with public school experience in elementary education; specialization in science education ideal. Qualifications include an earned doctorate (ABD considered), superior teaching skills, student-centered approach manifested in teaching and mentoring and the ability to work collaboratively. Asst./Assoc. Professor:  One year renewable position for excellent teacher with public school experience in instructional leadership. The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: school administration, research, assessment. Qualifications include an earned doctorate, superior teaching skills, student-centered approach manifested in teaching and mentoring, and the ability to work collaboratively. Asst./Assoc. Professor: Tenure-track position in English Communication with an emphasis in writing and organizational communication. Background in public relations a plus. Qualifications include an earned doctorate.

 Theology

Assistant Professor: Tenure/Track position in Theology for fall 2009.
