Campus Master Plan

A master plan is a conceptual framework for the physical development of a campus. It is not detailed or set-in-stone. The actual campus development requires detailed plans that use the master plan as the basis for the conception for each project of the plan.

This plan is our concept of what Trinity International University could become. In the center of campus are the academic and student life activities that foster the fulfilling of its mission while enhancing the beauty of its campus site. The plan has been adopted by the Board of Regents as the foundational framework from which decisions will be made about facilities in the years to come.

In Phase One of the master plan, four new buildings are planned that will meet immediate needs of the university: The Rodine Global Ministry Building (20,000 sq. ft. of classrooms & offices); a new dormitory on the north part of campus (50,000 sq. ft.); new dining hall & student life building (50,000 sq. ft.); and expansion of the athletic facilities (20,000 sq. ft.).

The Rodine Global Ministry Building project included the construction of the new circular road on the perimeter of the central green space, as well as several new parking lots. It was completed in December 2002. The new dormitory building project has provided modern rooms and allows for the later demolition of the older Quad buildings. It was completed in August 2006. (Click here for photos.) The dining hall project will provide a banquet area and expanded seating, as well as the "Plaza on the Lawn." Road demolition during this project will set in motion the formation of the central space and realization of the Campus Lawn. The athletic expansion project will include tennis courts and a small amount of new parking.
