Global Christian Week 2007: "Engaging the Islamic World with the Love of Christ"

The missions emphasis week at Trinity that places special focus on God's heart for the world, and features special speakers, workshops, and mission displays to inspire, instruct, and reflect upon the biblical mandate to take the gospel to all people.

The Mission and Evangelism Department and the Student Ministries Office are hosting TIU's annual mission conference, Global Christian Week 2007, on September 17-21. The theme this year is "Engaging the Islamic World with the Love of Christ," and the keynote speaker is Dr. Phil Parshall. Dr. Parshall has served in an Islamic context since 1962, has written nine books, and has taught around the world, helping Christians to understand and engage the Islamic world. We hope to gain some perspective on the history, theology, and contemporary mindset of Muslims, as well as to equip and challenge those in attendance to engage the Islamic world with the love of Christ, either as those called and sent, or by simply loving those who live in our communities. A detailed schedule is coming soon and will be posted on MyTrinity on the Spiritual Life page.
