Directions to Deerfield Campus

Trinity is located at 2065 Half Day Road in Deerfield IL

1/4 mile east of I-94
2.5 miles east of Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue)
1 mile west of Route 43 (Waukegan Road)
4 miles west of Route 41 (Skokie Valley Highway)

Half Day Road is also Route 22. It is north of Lake Cook Road and Deerfield Road, and south of Route 60. Trinity’s entrance is on the south side of the street, just east of the Lakeside Drive stoplight and just west of the fire station. Our entrance is marked by a black-and-white sign.The Admissions Offices are located in the Petersen Administration Wing, which is attached to the McLennan Academic Building on the southwest corner of campus, just past the second stop sign on the main campus road. If you are coming to visit the college, you should receive a parking permit in the mail after arranging your campus visit. If you are coming to visit the graduate school or TEDS, please obtain a permit from the Campus Safety & Security Office, which is the very first building on your right as you enter campus.

Driving

From O'Hare:

Take 190 to Milwaukee/Rockford exit then I-294 (tollway) north toward Milwaukee. Take 294 to Half Day Road (Route 22). Exit right and drive ½ mile to the campus entrance on the right. Please stop at the security booth as you enter the campus to receive a visitor parking permit and any directions you may need. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

From Midway:

(We do not recommend flying into Midway since it is over an hour away and it is difficult to find transportation to and from there. However, if you must fly into Midway, it is best to schedule a flight that arrives in the morning or afternoon in order to have sufficient time to get to Trinity.)

Take Cicero (Route 50) north to I-290. Go west on I-290 then north on I-294 (tollway). Exit at Half Day Road (Route 22). Exit right and drive ½ mile to the campus entrance on the right. Please stop at the security booth as you enter the campus to receive a visitor parking permit and any directions you may need. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

From North:

Take I-94 South toward Chicago. Exit I-94 at Half Day Road (Route 22) and turn left. Entrance to campus is 1/2 mile on the right. Please stop at the security booth as you enter campus to receive a visitor parking permit and any directions you may need. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

From West:

Take I-90 (from Rockford Area and Wisconsin) or I-88 (from West Suburbs and Iowa) east toward Chicago. Exit I-294 (tollway) north toward Milwaukee. Take I-294 to Half Day Road (Route 22). Exit right and drive 1/2 mile to the campus entrance on the right. Please stop at the security booth as you enter the campus to receive a visitor parking permit and any directions you may need. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

From South:

Take I-55 (from Bloomington and St. Louis) or I-57 (from Champaign) or I-65 (from from Indiana) north towards Chicago and take I-294 north toward Milwaukee. Take I-294 to Half Day Road (Route 22). Exit right and drive 1/2 mile to the campus entrance to the right. Please stop at the security booth as you enter the campus to receive a visitor parking permit and any directions you may need.

The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

Trains and Buses

From Midway:

There are no shuttles from Midway to Trinity. You can, however, take Omega Airport Shuttle, Inc. from Midway to O'Hare and then take Airport Express to Trinity (more information below). The phone number for Omega Airport Shuttle, Inc. is 773.483.6634. They are located at Door M-1 outside of Southwest Airlines and do hourly pick-ups beginning at 7:00 a.m. with the last pick-up at 10:00 p.m.

From O’Hare and Union Station:

Take the "L" (elevated train) into downtown Chicago (Union Station) and catch the Metra (Fox Lake line) to Deerfield. From the Deerfield Metra station, you can catch the Pace bus #12 and take it to Trinity. (The following schedule is as of January 8, 2001. Train and bus schedules are apt to change, so be sure and call Metra and Pace prior to traveling to verify times.)On weekday mornings, the Metra train leaves Union Station at 6:33 a.m.; 7:04a.m.; and 7:24 a.m. The train arrives at Deerfield Metra Station at 7:22a.m.; 7:52a.m.; and 8:12a.m. When getting off of the train go down the steps to Park Avenue and take a left to the Pace Bus Stop 471. Wait for bus #12 Bannockburn Dean Witter Hewitt,’ which comes at 7:32a.m. and 8:14a.m. The fee is 50 cents (exact change only). Inform the driver that you need to go to Trinity International University at 2065 Half Day Road and sit near the front of the bus, if possible. You will arrive on the edge of the campus at 7:45a.m. or 8:29a.m. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.

To return to Union Station:

Exit Trinity campus to Half Day Road and wait on the left side facing traffic. Wait for the Pace bus "#12 Deerfield Metra," which picks up on weekday afternoons at 3:54 p.m; 4:48 p.m; and 5:52 p.m. Keep alert and flag the bus when it nears (you must flag them down because this is not a normal stop for them). Board bus #12 and deposit 50 cents (exact change). You will arrive at the Deerfield Metra Station at 4:14 p.m; 5:08 p.m.; or 6:12 p.m. Cross the railroad tracks at the top of the stairs and board train for Chicago at 4:21 p.m.; 4:53 p.m.; 5:17 p.m; 5:50 p.m; 6:20 p.m.; and 6:56 p.m.

Shuttles

O’Hare International Airport

Continental offers departures every 10 minutes, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. An information counter and pick-up station is located in the baggage claim areas of Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and outside of U.S. Customs in Terminal 5. Tell the ticket agent that you are traveling to Deerfield in the north-suburban area. One-way fare is $35 per person and $5 for each additional passenger. Tickets may be purchased from the ticket agent or directly from your driver.

Midway International Airport

Pick-up at Midway is located at Door 3 on the lower lever, just outside of the baggage claim area. Tell the ticket agent that you are traveling to Deerfield in the north-suburban area. One-way fare is $61 per person and $5 for each additional passenger.

Give the following directions to the driver: Tell the driver that you are going to Deerfield (across the tollway from the Hawthorn Suites Hotel). Take 294 north to Route 22 (Half Day Rd); turn right on Half Day Road off of the tollway. Trinity is 1/2 mile down the road on the right. The Admissions Office is located in the McLennan Academic Building on the right-hand side of campus.
