TIU South Florida Campus works closely with all students
to transfer as many eligible courses into the program as possible.
We will assess the official transcripts from former institutions
in order to see how many of your previous credits will count
toward your degree. The credits which are accepted for transfer
become the foundation from which students begin to complete
their degrees. Our admissions counselors make the process
easy and rewarding.
Please keep in mind some of the following guidelines for
transfer credits:
- TIU may transfer up to 64 semester hours from an accredited
two year institution such as a community college. A course
may be transferable if the grade is "C" or better.
- Up to 32 hours of technical credit or vocational credit
may transfer toward your EXCEL degree.
- Your work at institutions outside the U.S. may be acceptable
for transfer. Those transcripts will need to be assessed
by an outside agency. Talk with an admissions counselor
about such credits.
TIU has a full array of courses that makes continuing to
attend elsewhere unnecessary. But students may continue to
take classes at other institutions in consultation with their
EXCEL advisor if they so choose. However, 30 of the last 45
credits toward the degree must be taken at TIU South Florida
Campus.
