The EXCEL Psychology major is a foundational degree for students who desire a career in any number of fields that require an understanding of human dynamics. By studying the development of the human mind and behavior, students in psychology gain understanding of the feelings, thoughts, and actions of others. This, in turn, provides a unique perspective on the challenges and problems that complicate relationships and life, and allows students to lend assistance to others in a variety of ways.

In addition, many psychology graduates will elect to pursue advanced degrees in several social science fields (counseling, school psychology, corrections, or research, to name a few).
