
Mental Health Counseling Concentration (27 credits)
The Mental Health Counseling concentration prepares students
to become licensed professionals and is geared toward those
interested in working in a variety of mental health or human
service agencies. Typical settings might include mental health
care facilities, training and vocational rehabilitation centers,
child welfare and family counseling agencies, institutions
for the aging, or other social and community organizations.
The Mental Health Counseling Concentration is a 27-credit
program and a field-based internship is required.
Graduate Program Format
Fall and Spring semester courses meet once a week on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday night for 16 weeks. Weekend classes are also offered and meet one weekend a month (Friday-Saturday). Summer semester courses are typically held on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
