Harold O.J. Brown Bioethics Scholarships

Full and partial tuition scholarships for the Master of Arts in Bioethics program

To promote biblical leadership in the pioneering field of bioethics, Trinity Graduate School is pleased to announce the Harold O. J. Brown Scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition for MA in Bioethics students. These competitive scholarships will be awarded to highly qualified individuals whose work and ministry will likely intersect regularly with the contemporary and critical issues of life and health.

Students are especially encouraged to apply whose plans include the following:

  • Attending law school
  • Attending medical school
  • Attending another graduate health care program
  • Attending a PhD program in a field related to bioethics
  • Engaging bioethical challenges vocationally through nonprofit organizations.

To be eligible for a scholarship, a student must apply to and be accepted as a degree-seeking student in the MA in Bioethics program at Trinity Graduate School. Several full and partial tuition scholarships are available to be awarded each year.

About Dr. Brown

Dr. Harold O. J. Brown (1933-2007) was a renowned educator and scholar who served as a Christian thought leader in the areas of systematic theology, right-to-life issues, ethics (especially medical and family values), journalism, public affairs, and political philosophy. Dr. Brown served as a professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he helped create the Trinity bioethics program, and as a founding Fellow of the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity (CBHD).
