Residential Meal Plans
Students living in residence halls are required to participate in one of the dining hall residential meal plans each semester.
Residential Unlimited Access Meal Plan
$1,690 per semester
This plan allows an individual student to enter the Melton Dining Hall and enjoy an unlimited number of meals during regular operating hours. Meal Access may not be transferred to another student or a guest.
Residential Block 210 Meal Plan
$1,690 per semester*
Each semester the Residential Block 210 Meal Plan offers 210 meals (approximately 13 meals per week) at the Melton Dining Hall and $50 of munch money, which can be used at the Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn. Also Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours.
Residential Block 140 Meal Plan
$1,545 per semester*
Each semester the Residential Block 140 Meal Plan offers 140 meals (approximately 9 meals per week) at the Melton Dining Hall and $50 of munch money, which can be used at the Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn. Also Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours.
Residential Block 125 Meal Plan
$965 per semester* (limited to TEDS/TGS students)
Each semester the Residential Block 125 Meal Plan offers 125 meals (approximately 8 meals per week) at the Melton Dining Hall and $50 of munch money, which can be used at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn. Also Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours.
Residential Block 100 Meal Plan
$1,240 per semester* (limited to TC students in the spring semester who had a residential block plan in the Fall; only available for Student Teachers in the fall semester)
Each semester the Residential Block 100 Meal Plan offers 100 meals (approximately 6 meals per week) at the Melton Dining Hall. Munch Money is not included with this plan. Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours.
Additional Residential Block Meals
$80 for 20 meals*
Meals in increments of twenty may be purchased from Student Accounting. The additional residential block meals are sold at a reduced cost.
All Other Meal Plans
Commuter Meal Plan
$75 for 10 meals (limited to students living in TC Senior Perks housing, in the TIU Apartments, in TEDS/TGS Residence Halls, and to Commuter students)
The Commuter Meal Plan offers ten meals at the Melton Dining Hall. Munch Money is not included with this plan. Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours. Additional meals in increments of ten meals may be purchased from Student Accounting. All unused meals for the Academic Year expire at the end of the Spring semester.
Staff/Faculty Meal Plan
$48 for 10 meals
The Staff/Faculty Meal Plan offers ten meals at the Melton Dining Hall. Munch Money is not included with this plan. Meal Exchange is available at Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn during regular operating hours. Additional meals in increments of ten meals may be purchased from Student Accounting
Points Program
$50 for $55 of meal points
When points are purchased, food service credit is added to a TIU ID Card and can be used at the Melton Dining Hall, Half Day Roast, Le Café, and White Horse Inn. Points may be purchased in increments of $50 at the Student Accounting Office. For every $50 that is purchased, an additional $5 will be added to it. All unused points for the Academic Year expire at the end of the Spring semester.
*NOTE: Residential Block Meals from the Fall semester are only available for use during the Spring semester if a Residential Block Meal Plan is purchased for the Spring semester. Unused Residential Block Meals from the Fall semester are forfeited if a Residential Block Meal plan is not purchased for the Spring semester. All unused meals for the Academic Year expire at the end of the Spring semester.
Operating Hours
The weekly operating hours are posted at all three dining locations. Occasionally, hours may be changed due to special events, but signs will be posted in advance.
Please note: The dining hall will have adjusted operating hours or may be closed during the year for breaks in the academic calendar (i.e., fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break).
