Florida Regional Center Library Policy on Gift Material
Material donated to the Florida Regional Center will be evaluated for possible addition to the library. Not all gift items are added to the collection. The librarian may select individual items that are perceived as valuable for the collection.
Books and media donated, that are not added to the collection, will be made available to students and other community members at regular book sales. These sales allow students to supplement their personal library with low cost books and provide funds for the library.
We welcome all donations for these sales, but due to current tax laws we are unable to give a receipt or provide documentation that will allow you to claim the gift as a tax deduction. Appraisals should be made before gifts are donated to the library. However, the librarian will issue a letter thanking you for your donation.
