The Organizational Leadership major is an interdisciplinary degree that prepares students to lead more effectively by developing their communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Through a thoughtful blend of theory and application, students learn how to supervise or lead in organizations such as non-profit agencies, certain business settings, social services, churches, missions agencies, and educational institutions.
Complete a degree and acquire the leadership skills employers value - the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, collaborate interpersonally, and solve problems efficiently. Organizational Leadership students learn career-related skills such as:
- How to become an effective and productive team leader
- How to use technology to facilitate organizational communication and improve performance
- How to successfully manage and supervise within culturally diverse environments
- How to adapt their communication style to maximize their influence
- How to implement highly ethical decision-making practices to support the organization and its stakeholders

General Education Requirements
All students completed a Bachelor's degree with the university are required to complete a minimum number of credits, 126 semester hours to be exact. Included in the 126 semester hours, each person must have completed all general education requirements (i.e., college composition, humanities, psychology, etc.). Specifics on required general college education may be obtained here.
