Applications for most programs including all masters programs (see "Deadlines" for your specific program requirements) are taken on a rolling basis. This means that admission is decided as soon as the application is complete. While deadlines exist for each of these programs, rolling admission allows for late applications after these dates have passed. Students are encouraged however to apply 6-12 months in advance of their attendance. Students finishing their previous degree while applying for Trinity may be accepted on a "conditional" basis and then change to regular admission after the previous degree is completed.
Applications received after the stated deadline for that program may incur a late application fee of $25. However, programs such as PhD Theological Studies will not be received after the application deadline and may be deferred to the next open enrollment period. Applications will not be accepted for any program after the first two weeks of courses in each semester.
Each degree program at Trinity has different requirements regarding the GRE or Miller Analogies Test. Please check the individual program requirements under Application Instructions.
Our admissions office is always happy to update you on the current status of your application. Simply call 800.345.8337 or email tedsadm@tiu.edu for an update. Keep in mind that recommendations and transcripts sent through the mail may take a few days to be processed.
Our admissions counselors are trained and ready to help answer specific questions about our program offerings. Please call or email to begin communication. You may also register for an Online Open House Chat here. We also encourage students to talk with pastors, mentors, teachers, friends, family, and the Lord to receive guidance in considering a degree path. You may change your degree once a student at Trinity.
Trinity does not offer any of our masters programs purely in an online format. However, several convenient options exist to help students who cannot relocate to our primary site in Deerfield, Illinois, or one of our extension sites throughout the country.
Program prerequisites for most degrees may be completed while you are a student at Trinity. Several options including online courses, undergraduate classes on campus, or graduate level substitutes may be helpful. Check with an admissions counselor to determine the specific prerequisites you are missing before proceeding.
Trinity accepts credits from accredited institutions with certain limitations. Please see this page for more information.
