Student Health Insurance
o TIU makes health insurance available to students who have no other means of health coverage while enrolled in school. It is a base policy and you may choose to "shop around" for personal coverage options
o This health plan is designed to assist with illness and injury - it is not a wellness plan
o While the primary offer is for student health insurance, there is an option to pay additional amounts for spouse and children of the student
o Enrollment in the plan is completed on the Aetna Student Health Insurance website (see below), but you will be billed on a per semester basis through student accounting
o Most medical expenses are covered under the plan, but there are certain limitations and exclusions. Please refer to the Full Plan Details on the Aetna website
o If you are an international student taking modular classes, you may also choose to enroll as a "Visiting Scholar" and pay on a monthly basis
