Doctor of Philosophy Programs Associate Dean for Doctoral Education:
Perry G. Downs, PhD (New York University) is Pastoral Associate at First Presbyterian (PCUSA) Church, Libertyville, Illinois, and editor of Christian Education Journal. He has written Teaching for Spiritual Growth, as well as chapters in many books about Christian education and youth ministry. He has also contributed to periodicals, including Christianity Today, Eternity, Moody, and Christian Education Journal. Purpose of the ProgramsTrinity’s three academic doctoral programs, the Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (PhD/THS), the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Studies (PhD/EDS), and the Doctor of Philosophy in Intercultural Studies (PhD/ICS), are specifically designed for those who have completed a master’s degree and who wish to pursue advanced study and research in their field of interest. |
