Dr. Galen Carey (BA '76, MDiv '80)

Galen Carey received a BA in Philosophy and History at Trinity in 1976 and later graduated in 1980 with a Master of Divinity. Galen currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). Previously, he served with World Relief for over twenty-six years in a variety of roles and on four continents. His work included directing housing reconstruction, livelihoods rehabilitation, agriculture, and community health projects in partnership with local churches and organizations. In his final role with World Relief he established an HIV/AIDS network and worked as the Regional Program Advisor for the World Relief Great Lakes Region, based in Bujumbura, Burundi. Galen and his wife, Delia, have three sons: Bertine, Fidel, and Joaquin.
