Core Values
As an institution committed to inerrant Scripture, given by God as our final authority for faith and life, we hold ourselves accountable to it and to each other with regard to these values as we “form students to transform the world through Christ.”
1. Christ Centeredness
We are here to model and engender Christ centeredness in everything that we do. So what does that mean for you? Well, here at Trinity, we'll invest in your understanding of the Bible, and professors will help you know what it means to live your Christianity in the world and workplace that you'll face after graduation. 2. Comprehensive Education
A comprehensive education helps you in three key ways. First, our core classes, which cross a wide range of disciplines, give you a strong knowledge base, expanding your intellect and your view of the world. Second, our 28 academic majors and 21 minors offer you a variety of possible future careers. Third, a Trinity education is an education for the whole person-we are just as concerned about the formation of your character as we are about the formation of your intellect.
3. Community
When you come here, you join a community of learners. You have the chance to engage in meaningful conversations, ask tough questions, and challenge each other spiritually and intellectually. We offer you mentoring relationships with professors, coaches, staff members, and other students. You'll also get to know people who are different from you and learn from their life experiences.
4. Church Connectedness
As a Christian university, we think that serving in the church is invaluable. But you don't have to be a pastor to serve the church. The church needs medical doctors with an understanding of bioethics, educators who want to make a difference in children's lives, and leaders in business, law, science, and the media who will influence others in their field for Christ. In other words, the church needs you!
5. Cultural Engagement
We want to enable you to engage the culture around you with a strong biblical foundation. We are committed to high standards of research, scholarship, thinking, and living in order to prepare you to respond honestly and meaningfully to others in culture around you.
