Residence Life at Trinity International University Residence Life at Trinity International University strives to serve the residential population in a Christ-like manner. We facilitate an environment that is conducive to the educational goals of students. The residence halls can also be a place where life-long friendships are formed. There is a unique opportunity in residence halls in which friendships develop into nurturing relationships, as described in Proverbs 27:17; "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
The Residence Life staff seeks to model these types of relationships. Within the community setting, we live interdependently to encourage and challenge one another to become individuals of integrity. Our staff strives to confront in a graceful manner that respects individuals while ensuring the Community Life Expectations of TIU. We need each other in order to become responsible individuals. An important part of Residence Life is providing activities that meet the needs of residents. Suite, hall, and brother/sister floor activities, are just a few to mention. Residence halls at TIU are active and provide many opportunities to get to know people on many levels. The assistant dean of students is available and accessible. Keep me informed of how things are going in the residence halls and how we can meet your needs. I frequently ask residents how things are and what kind of things they would like to see. You can always call me at 847.317.7072 or email me at hsammons@tiu.edu. My office is located in the Student Development offices in the Lew Student Center. You are important to me, and I am glad you are at Trinity International University. Heather Sammons, Assistant Dean of Students |
