William E. Graddy, PhD
William Graddy is professor of English at Trinity International University's Trinity College. He worked as a teaching assistant and Instructor at Southern Illinois University before coming to Trinity in 1973.
Dr. Graddy earned the Bachelor of Arts in English at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He continued his studies at Southern Illinois University, earning the Master of Arts in English in 1968 and the Doctor of Philosophy in English in 1975.
Dr. Graddy's areas of expertise include the literature of the American Renaissance, mid-19th century American church history, and critical theory. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English and has written notes and articles on topics such as "Another Error in The Marble Faun," "The Spiritual Pilgrimage of Ralph Waldo Emerson," and "The Navel, the Belly, or the Cross? A Meditation on Habakkuk."
