    Jacqueline H. Bell, MM

    Jackie Bell is professor emerita of music at Trinity College. Before coming to Trinity in 1971, she was general music teacher and choral director at Roosevelt Junior High School in Bellwood, Illinois. She also served as English teacher in Kunming, China, in the summer of 1987. In addition to her regular responsibilities, she has been an instructor in the REACH program at Trinity for four years.

     

    Professor Bell received the Bachelor of Music Education at Wheaton College and the Master of Music in piano performance at the American Conservatory of music.

     

    Professor Bell's areas of expertise include piano technique, choral techniques and tone, accompanying techniques, effective classroom teaching, and divorce. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Society of American Musicians. She has also written publications including Such a Worm as I, about evangelical hymnology, and Orff and Kodaly Adapted for the Elementary School.
